They can be top or bottom fixed for pendants, table or floor lamps and can be in any depth you chose.
 
NOTE: The prices are exclusive of fabric, for a guide the shade in the image is D42cm x H25cm and finihsed in a Anna Spiro Australian printed fabric RRP $459
